Learn to Play Violin the way you've always wanted!
Violin lessons from one of our experienced teachers.
The Jam With Your Friends™ philosophy is primarily inspired by Shinichi Suzuki, whose aim was to create an environment for learning music which parallels the linguistic environment of acquiring a native language.
Why Jam With Your Friends?
World Class Teachers
From the most elite schools like Juilliard and Berklee School of Music.
We harness your child's emotional drive to actually want to practice and get real results.
We come to you! Pick a time that's best for you and we'll be there!
Achieve Your Goals +
Our methodology works by identifying goals and empowering students to achieve them. By focusing on recognizable and catchy songs that kids know and listen to for fun, daily practice becomes automatic.
Build A Genuine Relationship
We live to create productive relationships that last. That’s why we pair you with highly qualified teachers with excellent relationship building and communication skills.
Learn Songs that Are fun to Practice
The best results come when kids practice. Because this is so important, we teach kids proper form and technique using songs they know and love. This keeps parents happy because kids are practicing and kids happy because they’re learning songs that they know and love.
Celebrate your Success
Every Spring we host an Annual Recital to showcase our talented students. This gives students something to work hard towards and strive for!
New York City Professional Violin Teachers
I have been a dedicated and passionate violin teacher and violinist in many capacities for the past ten years and believe my teaching philosophies align Jam With Your Friends. I teach in the style of Mimi Zweig from Indiana University which incorporates elements of Suzuki, as well as Alexander technique and has yogic influences as well. But I also make sure every student learns in the style that suits them best, always making sure that the material is fun and engaging!
I use a natural approach focusing on fundamental principles and the objective practice of simple exercises in rhythm, form, harmony, melody, lyric study and improvisation. I work to sustain positive emotions during the practice of songs that children love and will take with them into adulthood. I’m a great fit for Jam With Your Friends because I care about quality music education and how it can transfer into all aspects of life.
